 Diary - Friday, July 13, 2007

Goodness, another extended interval since our last update. Hopefully our regular “update” readers will forgive me and realize that we are somewhat caught in a time warp here where there really isn’t too much new to report since our last posting.

The biggest ongoing event in our lives at this moment is the continuing construction of the training facility. For those of you with building experience, I’m certain you are aware of just how intense the finishing stages are of any project. Presently we have painters, electricians, tilers, plumbers, flooring tradesmen, plasterers and soon door and window installers plus landscapers. The good news is we are making continual progress and that light is getting brighter day by day. It certainly will be cause for celebration when we finally hang up the tools or at least lay them to rest for a while. With any luck, we will be ready to open the doors to the first semester of students by September. It’s all good!!!

Of course we also have all our former projects and work on the go too. The clinic is still keeping me busy and Pat as usual has her fingers in lots of pies, they are all good pies, but pies none the less. She is a very dedicated human being and I really admire her. :-)

Our next volunteers are due to arrive at the end of this month and we are really looking forward to welcoming Dr. Michelle who is a Chiropractor and her partner Michael who is an Anesthesiologist. They are from Canada and we will, as usual, update you with more details as their time here unfolds.

Life is hectic but awesome and we continue to remain excited and enthusiastic about the potential that exists here to contribute to making things just a tad better for those fine folks in this community who are in need but none the less always have a smile and a big “Jambo” ready for anyone who they come in contact with.

As always, we hope you are all enjoying life to its maximum wherever you may be at this moment. Keep well and lots of love from all of us here in the “Jam”.

Here are a few recent pictures of the work in progress.
