Kamloops Firefighters and “Operation Africa” There is a man by the name of David Sakaki who lives in Kamloops, BC. David was here in Jambiani a couple of years ago with TWECS (Third World Eye Care Society) and after his experience on Zanzibar, he vowed that he would return. I’m not certain that I can adequately say enough about this person but he has initiated an effort to put together a container to bring goods and supplies to Zanzibar. It’s really phenomenal to see what he and those that have come onboard with him are accomplishing. In this world gone a tad mad, this example of selfless humanitarianism brings such a positive energy into the barrage of often negativity that we see or read about in the media.
