How you can help : volunteer : donations
There are many ways that you can help contribute to HABS. If you
are a health care practitioner, you might want to consider coming
to Jambiani to volunteer in the Wellness Centre. We are committed
to providing you with full room and board and local transportation
in exchange for your healing and helping hands and heart. Our feeling
at this time is that we would require a minimum of a one-month placement
in order to facilitate a more comprehensive experience.
Financial contributions would be most appreciated. To ensure the
sustainability of this project, we are in need of funds to pay for
a vehicle and petrol, food, electricity, furniture and supplies
for both the accommodation and clinic and local salaries. We have
fund raised and will continue to expand our efforts in this area.
We are most grateful to our supporters who have helped us with cash
donations. We do not get paid for this work and you can be assured
that all monies collected are used to support the project directly.
Material donations would also be appreciated. Orthopaedic supports,
taping materials, straps and bandages, Deep Cold and antibiotic
creams are all in short supply, but used daily. The school is also
in great need of supplies such as pens and pencils, notebooks, rulers
and chalk. Just about anything would be much appreciated by the
community if you would like to donate it.
